Department of Compassion

So, the Local Public Library has no department of compassion. I actually chuckled about this, thinking I would pay a pro-rated kind of fee for the damage . . . but NO. I just bought the book that Hannah took a chunk out of the lower-right-hand cover and few pages. Not a single word is unreadable, but there you have it: we now own Raymond Feist's newest publication. And, hey, I guess it does go fairly well with a substantial collection already in my bookcases.

Ok that is just silly... if I cruise thru my local library there's a whole lot of books in WAY worse condition than that!

Like your blog a lot, just came across it randomly. Will definitely be back!

I haven't had a library card to that library in about 25 years. Someone stole my card, checked out a couple of thick references on birds and the library wanted to charge me $50 for them.
I chose another option, which was to not renew my library card.
